Trump + Healthcare = High Costs & Huge Deficit

Trump is doing what he promised; attempting to make healthcare implode. His machinations are going to lead to soaring premiums and a huge deficit. And despite already losing this fight to the American people, he's insisting on a rematch; we need to be ready for it.

The Congressional Budget Office has issued a report which found that insurance premiums will rise as high as 20 percent and the deficit will increase significantly if Trump reneges on paying the healthcare subsidies.

Meanwhile, Trump has extended the deadline for health insurance companies to file rate increase requests. This isn't a good thing, though. This waffling has made insurers question whether or not Trump will continue paying the healthcare subsidies. As a result Trump has caused several insurers to pull out of state marketplaces leaving people with a dearth of options. Other insurers are increasing their premiums in anticipation that Trump won't pay the subsidies.

Trump has also been meeting with other members of the GOP about a potential plan to repeal. He and his team have also been exploring how to put pressure on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to take this fight up again.
